A few months ago AT&T began to offer a DSL service for $10 a month, but offered it under the table in a hidden corner on their page.

The only requirement is that you have to have never used AT&T before. If you haven’t and live in their service area, you are entitled to DSL for only $10 a month.

Well recently, AT&T began to not hide this promotional offer anymore and it can easily be found and accessed on their page. This is still the cheapest DSL available.

To take advantage of this offer now, all you have to do is…….

- click here and follow the link that says “sign up now”.

- From there you will see the offer in the Basic DSL box on the left.

That’s it, just a few easy steps and you can have the cheapest DSL known to man. AT&T offers great connections, so you won’t lose quality even though the prices are cheap!

Cable vs DSL

Thursday, August 2nd, 2007

I have heard a lot talk lately where people have battled out over which is better, cable or DSL. One person says “cable is faster” another “DSL is cheaper”. It seems to never really have an end. So, which one is better. Well, both and neither. Let’s analyze.

It is true, cable connections are capable of having higher speeds. This is very beneficial but often times unnecessary for just a common household. Although it is nice to have a higher download speed, there isn’t much difference between driving 140mph and 170mph. Speed is speed and that’s fast.

Best price is a category won by DSL. It is generally cheaper than cable since it is slightly slower. A lot of people feel that it is not worth it to pay so much extra money every month to have a connection that is just a little faster.

Customer satisfaction is also a category won by DSL. Tech support generally seems to be more helpful and able to help. Some people with cable constantly have issues in this and switch over to DSL.

They both have their advantages as far as security goes.

So basically, it can be hard to say one is better than the other. They are 2 different products that work in 2 different ways. DSL works through your telephone jack, and cable….well through cable. They are both very popular services and both have many many customers. Just figure out which one is best for you and that’s what’s best.
